I assume I’m not understanding the above correctly, because what I understand is the following:

If a surgeon is religious, he won’t have to do abortions anymore. But in that case, if a surgeon is a racist, couldn’t he refuse to operate on black people? Don’t medical workers take the Hippocratic Oath to help their patients no matter what? It’d be more of a Hypocritical Oath then, wouldn’t it?

Could anyone tell me what this is actually meant to mean?
